Managing Section 8 Tenants – What to expect and best practices

By law you can’t deny an applicant because they are on section 8 or another subsidy program to pay their rent. So if you can’t say that you don’t take section 8 tenants then it is best to know what to expect. We will go through the paperwork you can expect, inspection schedule, property requirements, as well as how you get access to up to $5,000 towards a balance owed to by a previous section 8 tenant.

This class qualifies for 1.5 CE hours with the Oregon Real Estate Licensing Agency. CE credits available for licensed Oregon Realtors/Brokers and Property Managers at an additional cost. Don’t forget to select the CE Credits add-on option when registering.

There will be scheduled Q&A breaks during the class, but if we can’t get to your questions during class we always stick around to answer questions for up to 15 minutes after the class ends.
